VR Interactive Designer

Locations: Winnipeg, Canada

This is a one year term position.

The position requires an on-site presence in our Winnipeg studio.

Salary range is between $50,000 to $60,000 depending on experience. Benefits may be made available.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as project and virtual reality experience Interactive Design Manager
  • Work with the Art team to conceptualize and design the art style to achieve proper multicultural aspects
  • Work with the programming team to design and implement the interactive design of a virtual reality project
  • Work together with the other team leads to develop and launch a virtual reality project to market

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree or equivalent experience
  • Display a strong work ethic
  • Strong knowledge and ability in multicultural interactive design
  • Critical feedback skills that helps the team deliver high quality results
  • Ability to manage assigned responsibilities and meet project deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including documentation of processes

Unity Developer

Locations: Winnipeg, Canada

The Unity Developer position requires at least an intermediate level of experience.

The position requires an on-site presence in our Winnipeg studio.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain C# code
  • Develop, implement, and test APIs
  • Work closely with designers to implement gameplay and interactive features and functionality using Unity
  • Create and improve tools as necessary to support specific features
  • Continuously test, debug, profile, analyze, and optimize on applicable VR hardware
  • Contribute innovative and original ideas on all aspects of production and development
  • Participate in daily meetings

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated proficiency in C#
  • Minimum 3 years of experience or at least one released title using Unity 2017 or above (game jam & hobby projects are counted)
  • Strong algorithm knowledge and analysis
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, related discipline or equivalent experience
  • Self-driven and self-motivated
  • Disciplined without needing constant supervision
  • Strong communicator
  • Able to manage time appropriately to meet deadlines

IT Instructor

Locations: Winnipeg, Canada

Project Whitecard is looking for an Information Technology Instructor to teach students at a University level, system administration for the following:

Topics:

  • Introduce students to networking fundamentals such as the TCP/IP protocol suite, subnetting, routing & basic hardware setup
  • Introduction into navigating both Windows & Linux operating systems through GUI and command line
  • Windows server administration with an introduction to Active Directory, user accounts & permissions, powershell scripting and installation of roles such as DNS
  • Linux server administration with an introduction to users & groups, file permissions, and installation of services such as DHCP
  • Install/Configure IIS & Apache servers along with an introduction to general server administration including use of FTP, SSH and best security practices
  • Basic hardware and software troubleshooting skills

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of system administration experience with the above
  • Post-secondary diploma in Information Technology or equivalent
  • Experience using virtualization software such as VMware or VirtualBox

Nice to Haves:

  • Experience in teaching or training
  • Industry certifications from Microsoft, Cisco or equivalent

Web Developer

Locations: Winnipeg, Canada

The Web Developer position requires at least an intermediate level of experience.

This 1 month term position requires a knowledgeable front end web developer that also has experience in Drupal 8. Opportunity for an extended contract is possible.

The position requires an on-site presence in our Winnipeg studio.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and Develop front end UI in Drupal 8
  • Understand software versioning theory (SVN) and agile development
  • Understand application development
  • Write clear quality code for software and applications and perform test reviews
  • Detect and troubleshoot software issues
  • Provide input on software development

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in Drupal 8, Javascript, HTML, CSS and overall web stack
  • Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills
  • 3+ years of development experience
