Unity Developer(s) or Engineer.

Locations: Canada and the United States

Project Whitecard Inc. is a world leading developer of games and interactive immersive 3D virtual environments, with clients such as the Canadian Space Agency and NASA. Project Whitecard delivers new models of learning using leading 3D technologies, including Virtual Reality.

Unity Engineer. Must be comfortable with Visual Studio programming and the Asset Store. The Unity Developer will also interact with other teams such as the game server team, art department. The engineer must be a team player and work well in a collaborative environment. If you are the best at what you do we want to hear from you! We are always looking for strong candidates.

The Candidate:

  • will be working with a small but cutting-edge team.
  • may assist in design development but will be more focused on unity programming
  • will be minimizing latency and lag
  • making sure the game and platform are as secure as possible

Abilities, Knowledge and Skills:

  • Proficiency in C#
  • Experience with both game development and other interactive experiences
  • Produce efficient, high-quality and stable code
  • Understanding of multiplayer networking games
  • Understanding of photon server form Exit Games

  • Unity Editor - 10
  • Unity C#, - 7
  • VR programming - 5- We will get you to expert level in 2016 - it's new.

Senior Game Producer with Life Experience

Locations: Winnipeg, Canada and Seattle, Washington.

We’re looking to add a Senior Game Producer and experienced person to join our team. The ideal candidate is a creative, solutions-oriented leader with a career in building solutions for marquee clients. Experience in fields other than video games is welcome.

The Candidate:

  • will be working with a small but cutting-edge team.
  • Manage and oversee significant industry-friendly products using game technology from concept through implementation to post-launch
  • Work directly with CLIENT, developers, and creative to ensure that games are on the right path
  • Operate effective schedules to balance business goals and resource constraints
  • Serve as mentor and leader, translating your experience to younger team.

Abilities, Knowledge and Skills:

  • Proficiency in C#
  • Expert understanding of game development will be attained with a smaller project.
  • Strong ability to communicate effectively with others remotely and in person (Prezi slideshows, Google Chat)
  • Desire to become a world-class respected leader in so-called serious games and education.
  • Experience with training software, but more importantly, new ideas to be carried through to completion.

Web Software Developer

Locations: Winnipeg, Canada

Project Whitecard Inc. is an award-winning world leader in the development of games for good using interactive, immersive, and VR environments. Project Whitecard is seeking a new team member to join us in bleeding-edge application development.

Project Whitecard’s clients include the Canadian Space Agency and NASA. An active project for Manitoba Public Insurance is a groundbreaking VR driving experience. We are a “flat” organization that emphasizes individuality, ethics, equality, quality, programming, design and professional fulfilment.

This minimum 6 month term position requires a knowledgeable web developer that has solid PHP experience, ideally also having worked in Drupal with knowledge of REST and Views, and who is familiar with the Unity development environment.

A candidate would be hands-on, coding, using best practices, and collaborating with a small team to deliver a hybrid cloud/VR solution.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and test APIs
  • Understand software versioning theory (SVN) and agile development
  • Understand application development
  • Write clear quality code for software and applications and perform test reviews
  • Manage ticket flow as related to Web layer of VR applications
  • Detect and troubleshoot software issues
  • Provide input on software development

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in PHP, Javascript, HTML, CSS and overall web stack
  • Drupal and database experience a major plus
  • VR and Unity 3D experience a plus
  • Relational database and cloud storage experience (preferably having worked with Amazon AWS/S3)
  • Experience developing APIs
  • Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills
  • Unity development experience a plus
  • 4+ years of development experience
